  1. we are the bexar county buffalo soldiers and traveled to local schools and civic groups to spread the forgotten history of the buffalo soldiers since september 1999. we dress in real buffalo soldiers uniforms and train and practice our roles in order to perfect our presentations. we were organized as a 501c3 chartered in texas and have been primarily funded by our 28 regular member and thru small speaking fees. our current project is to construct a 4500sf western style fort that will have an updated media presentation room that allows us to provide lectures and presentations to 125 students. the projected cost of the entire project is $850k and we are hopeful to be able to raise the funds and complete the project in 16months.
