Department of Education Accepting Javits Fellowship Applications

The Jacob K. Javits Fellowship Program provides fellowships to students to undertake study at the doctoral and master of fine arts level in selected fields of arts, humanities, and social sciences. The U.S. Department of Education has announced it is accepting applications for its fiscal year 2011 awards. The deadline for applications is September 30, 2010. Visit the Jacob K. To qualify, students must demonstrate superior ability and achievement, exceptional promise, and financial need. The Department of Education estimates it will have funding available to award 33 fellowships with an average grant of $43,989.
