Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad Program Application Period Open

The Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad Program for 2012, is accepting applications until April 23, 2012. This program “provides grants to support overseas projects in training, research, and curriculum development in modern foreign languages and area studies for teachers, students, and faculty engaged in a common endeavor.”

The estimated available funds for this program are $2,990,000. The estimated range of awards is $50,000–$125,000 for short-term projects and $50,000–$375,000 for long-term projects. To apply

You may remember that last year NCH urged its constituents to contact Congress about saving the Fulbright-Hays Programs from budget cuts in fiscal year 2012. As a result of this effort, Fulbright-Hays Programs weren’t eliminated and were only reduced slightly from $75.7 million to $74.1 million.
