National Archives Requests Comments on Digitization Plan

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is seeking public comment on its draft Plan for Digitizing Archival Materials for Public Access, 2007-2016. The draft plan outlines planned NARA’s strategies to digitize and make more accessible its historic holdings. The request for comment was posted in the September 10, 2007, edition of the Federal Register.

Comments should be submitted by November 9, 2007. Comments should be submitted by e-mail to vision@NARA.gov or faxed to 301-837-0319.

A public meeting on the draft Plan will be held at the Jefferson Room in the National Archives Building in Washington, DC, on October 4, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. Those interested in attending should enter through the Constitution Avenue entrance. Reservations are not required but space may be limited.
