Library of Congress Expands Annual National Book Festival

The Library of Congress has announced the dates for its 11th annual National Book Festival. For the first time the event will be expanded to two days and over 80 authors are scheduled to participate (for a complete list click here). Some 150,000 book fans attended the festival in 2010.

The festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24 and Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011, between 9th and 14th streets on the National Mall. The event, free and open to the public, will run from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, rain or shin
