On March 23, the House Budget Committee, as it has frequently in past years, called for the elimination of federal funding for the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) along with other cultural agencies such as the Institute for Museum and Library Services. While concerning, the budget resolution and concurrent report are non-binding. The House Appropriations Committee will make actual funding decisions for FY 2017 in the coming months.
